MB Marine Training and MB Marine Services was established on the Capricorn Coast in 2003 by Matt Bampton.
Initially starting out as a boat hire and tourism business, it then quickly escalated into a Marine Training hub. The building process again quickly expanding into, and conducting fishing charters throughout the wonderful Capricorn Coast, but when weather was at its worse, he was also heavily involved in the infrastructure within the Gladstone LNG projects and also local tourism.
Director and mariner Matt Bampton has salt water in his blood and when he is not marine training or fishing, he is navigating offshore.
Matt has a Master Under 45 meters, which is endorsed to 600nm, he can also command vessels up to 80 meters in inshore waters. A Chief Mate certificate and deck watch-keepers up to 80 meters for 600nm. He can also act as Chief Engineer on vessels up too 750kw per engine, and a second engineer on vessels up too 1500kw per engine in our EEZ. He is also ECDIS endorsed, has a Certificate of Safety Training, along with other AMSA qualifications, as well as a past Fire Fighter.
